I am taking part in the Second Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge hosted by Dirty Diaper Laundry. For 7 days I will be using only flat cloth diapers and handwashing them in an effort to prove that cloth diapering can be affordable and accessible to all. You can learn more about the rules and why this challenge was started by visiting the announcement post. This year there are over 450 participants from all over the world!

| Filler Picture Yeah I'm getting tired of this whole handwashing thing too! |
Mujii is teething and I have gotten a total of 6 hours of sleep these past two nights. Work is forever draining especially since I'm working 10 hour days all week. The weather is muggy as a mug with the anticipation of thunderstorms which drags out my drying time. {Insert more lame excuses here}...{here}...{and here}.
If only I was a stay at home mom.
If only I had made a camp washer.
If only I had more flats.
If only I didn't have to use pockets for daycare.
If only...
If only...
If only...
I'm getting sick of my whiny alter-ego trying to talk me out of this! I WANT to do this! I KNOW I can do this! But I'm struggling.....hopefully I can find comfort from other participants who are having a difficult time of it, I can't be the only one in a rut can I????

You can do it! I didn't take the challenge, but I know you can do it! Keep it up! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYou arent the only one struggling some of us didnt even try but you took the challenge good for you momma you can do it!
ReplyDeleteOver half-way there! You can do it :)
ReplyDeleteYes you can do it and the sense of pride you will have at the end will be tremendous. Hang in there!!
ReplyDeleteOnly a few days left!! You can do it!! I remember that completely burned out feeling last year. Hugs! ~Melissa
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the teething...it is killer. These nights of little sleep will dry the best of us insane. BUT I am here to encourage you. It hasn't been that hard of a challenge for me, so far. Not that that is encouraging, but I do struggle to find TIME to do this. I am a stay at home mom, but I run a home daycare, have four children, have just potty trained one (read: still run to the potty every 40 minutes and sing and dance and act stupid when it all comes out right), my husband just got a brand new work shift that we are trying to wrap our heads around, and I coach my 3 year old's t-ball team.
ReplyDeleteYou can do this. There are not that many more days left and when you are done, you will be so proud of yourself. Keep up the good work! Your little one is ADORABLE.
You are being honest and THAT is what it's all about. I'm not expecting everyone to be sunshines and unicorn farts. Today was a hard one for me too. It is over soon!
